Hart Band, Strings, & Choir Classes Available


​Thomas Hart Middle School has a thriving music program.  Auditions are required each year for some classes. Please see this Google Slides presentation from the music directors that explains how the music class placement process works at Hart.

The 2024-2025 Hart Music program is offered as follows:
  • Three Choirs - Dr McClimon
  • Intermediate Band – For all 6th graders - Dr McClimon
  • Concert Band – For 7th graders, Dr McClimon
  • Symphonic Band – For 8th Graders (and 7th grade by audition), Dr McClimon
  • Wind Ensemble – Audition to enter class for 7th and 8th graders (auditions take place in March) - Dr McClimon
  • Jazz Band – Audition to enter class for 7th and 8th graders (auditions take place in March) - Dr McClimon. Jazz students must take another music course at the same time - band, strings or choir
  • Strings 1 - For 6th graders, Mr. Muldrow
  • Strings 2 - For 7th graders, Mr. Muldrow
  • String Orchestra - For 8th graders, Mr. Muldrow​​
